More detailed itinerary
Day 1
The driver will pick you up in Malang or Surabaya area.
6 hour drive – Then, drive to our homestay in Licin.
Arrived – Will arrive in homestay in the late afternoon or evening.
Free time.
Day 2
00:30 – 01.00 – Wake up and get ready to head to Kawah Ijen, while also checking out.
01:00 – 01:40 – Drive to Paltuding (Start point for hiking).
01:40 – 02:00 – Arrived at Paltuding and stayed at a small cafe, enjoying some warm drinks while waiting for our guide.
02:30 – 07:00 – Explored Mount Ijen with our local guide, heading first to see the Blue Fire. After that, we continued to the summit to watch the sunrise and admire the Ijen Crater, before returning to Paltuding.
07:00 – 07:30 – Breakfast.
1 hour drive – Drive to Ketapang Port or Banyuwangi area.
6 hour drive – Back to Malang or Surabaya.
